OS.University takes security measures before the upcoming token sale
2 min readMay 28, 2018
OS.University has taken further security measures to protect the OS.University token (EDU) holders and their ETH investment against cyber criminals during the token sale, which starts on June 4th, 2018.
- The backer will transfer ETH to the OS.University token sale smart contract address and will instantly receive their EDU. As informed, our official EDU Token is now live on Etherscan and it is the only “EDU Token” listed as verified. Compared to our pre-sale contract, it has all of its main features improved in accordance with the recommendations from the independent audit report that was commissioned by OS.University.
- During the token sale, the ETH is then moved from the smart contract to an external account owned by OS.University. While OS.University takes maximum security measures to make its smart contract unhackable, moving money from the smart contract to external wallets increases the security of ether collected.
- Collected funding will be used for the development of the platform, further business development, etc. as defined in the White Paper. The whole budget allocation is displayed in the website as well.
- How the OS.University smart contract works can be checked by the token holders at any time. Find the OS.University Crowdsale contract at Github.
- Token and crowdsale smart contracts have been audited by an external security company. Audit results can be found on GitHub.
