This is an interesting perspective…

As a millennial, I completely understand the unwritten rule that we have to be present on social media, leaving ourselves open to whatever the algorithms and companies want to bombard us with.

However, I do truly believe that the experiences we are currently having with social media, if we pay attention, will lead to better experiences in the future.

The next generation will bring new ideologies and nuances to the table so I think our efforts should be directed at curating the millennials to understand what is ‘wrong’ and as such, lead them to develop forward in the future.

Thanks for writing this though, really gives insight into the way social media can affect us, even on a subconscious level.
