Thank you for replying — and to explain — saying ‘I’m a nice guy’ — is merely a ‘turn of phrase’ that I tend to use in a contrary fashion. Sometimes I will say it in a sarcastic way and sometimes I will use it as counterpoint — like ‘Hey, but I’m a nice guy, huh?’. In the context here, I wasn’t setting myself up as a nice guy — just suggesting I’m not a shit. It’s probably more common in a UK environment than anywhere else, so I wanted to explain. I’m not pumping my ego making that statement — it’s just the way I talk!
