The opinionist

An opinionist is not just a person with an opinion: it’s a person who’s not afraid to express it. Everybody can have an opinion. Not everybody is willing to express it, whether it is because of fear of criticism, conflict avoidance and fear of what others may think of us. It’s more about not being afraid of being wrong, rather than about being right, or in that sense having the ‘right’ opinion. It’s only about being ready to express whatever you stand for, and do it in a confident way. As soon as you take a stance on something, there will be critique, there will be attacks. A real opinionist is simply someone who can deal with that.
