Why should you grow Aloe Vera in your own Home?

All you really need to grow Aloe Vera is a plant vase, dirt and the Aloe Vera plant. The one shown in the photos, are little plants, not fully grown. They will take nearly 3 years to grow to their full capacity, and that’s when they have the most benefits. Anyway, you can still use the leafs to calm down a burnt skin, prevent and treat little scars, or get rid of the redness in your face.
In time, when the plant grows a little more, I will replace this vase with one that has more width than depth, because Aloe Vera’s roots spread horizontally instead of vertically.
It does not requires much work either. You should water it every 2 weeks. It is best to be stored in a place where it does not catch direct sunlight and where it is not too hot. You will know when it needs water, or it is exposed to too much sunlight, because the leafs will turn brown. If you take the right steps, the leafs will turn green in a couple of days, but if the leaf dries out at its tips, it is better to cut if off as it will harm the entire plant. Also keep in mind that when you cut a leaf, it will never ever grow back, so be careful when you cut it because it dried off [cut just the part that dried off], or when you need it to use its liquid.
The liquid inside the leaf is what you need. In that case, peel off the skin carefully, using a sharp knife. Apply it where needed.
*Do not forget to clean the plant with a wet cotton once in a while. The dust that sits on the leafs makes it hard for the plant to catch sunlight and release the oxygen.
