What Is In Store for Bridgerton on Netflix?

Spoilers for Bridgerton (Book and TV Series)

In some ways, this piece is a follow up to my earlier piece speculating about what season 3b of Netflix Bridgerton would bring. But in others, it’s entirely its own thought because the fact remains, regardless of what season 3b brings or how the reveal of Lady Whistledown goes, there are still 5 other Bridgerton kids to marry off.

The subject of the next season has been hotly debated across the fandom despite how small the field of potential candidates actually is. Gregory and Hyacinth are both too young to be viable candidates, and Francesca’s got… Some things she has to get through first which means she isn’t ready yet. And that leaves Benedict (the second son) and Eloise (the second daughter). Both are free spirits with pursuits wholly separate from the marriage market. And part of their ongoing journey in the story has been preparing them to be interested in the pursuit. It makes sense that they come to the figurative party relatively late because they have so much ground to cover, and in season 3 (or at least, Season 3a), they’ve made quite a bit of progress on the front. Benedict has a serious love interest that may not be a viable marriage option, and Eloise is starting to understand that she isn’t the center of the world…

Or rather, her friendship with Cressida Cowper has the potential to force her to see the world more broadly. I’m not sure if I think Cressida and Eloise are end game in some sort of lavender marriage situation…
