A “Marvel’s Spider-Man” Review By Someone Who Actually Played the Entire Game (Spoiler Free)
Video Game? No, No. MOVIE Game
The technicians behind the likes of “Spyro” and “Ratchet & Clank” are back at it again with the first installment of what seems to be a video-game-based Marvel Cinematic Universe equivalent. While there have been other games based on the web shooter before it, Insomniac’s “Spider-Man” stands out far above the rest in my mind as a serious attempt at creating an instant classic. Did it succeed? Perhaps. Let’s discuss.
Is It Worth the Price Tag?
To begin, I want to be clear that I have completed 100% of both the main story and the side missions, as well as each section of New York City. While this all sounds like it would have taken a hefty chunk of time to accomplish, which it did, my first reaction was that it probably should’ve taken even longer. I mean, we’re talking about every single little thing the game has to offer.
