We had great presentations from speakers including Ahimbisibwe Brian Lead Organiser, Mukunde Brisa and Niwagaba Joab.

Niwagaba Joab made a simple presentation about the version of the internet ie Web1.0, Web2.0 and Web3.0 , deep dive on the evolution of the internet Web2.0 which majority of us know as an internet dominated by companies that provide services in exchange for your personal data call them centralised service providers with Centralized Flaws like censorship, single point failures of servers to a mention a few

He went further made practical comparisons of the two web versions Web2.0 and Web 3.0 highlighting the benefits of Web3.0 over Web2.0

Welcome note by Joab Niwagaba

Ahimbisibwe Brian went further to introduce and explain about a decentralized Cloud storage on IFPS and Filecoin a vision to a decentralized web. An interesting presentation on How IPFS and Filecoin works, storing and accessing files on IPFS, Filecoin network with built-in economic incentives to ensure files are stored reliably over time

Our last presentation that was made by Mukunde Brisa a software Developer on a deep dive about basics using IPFS and Filecoin, for example content addressing with IPFS, data persistence with Filecoin, how to store data using Web3.storage

Brisa demonstrating how to store data on We3.storage

We had an open discussion where most of the questions were asked and answered, shared some of useful reading resources for the attendees to learn more on IPFS and Filecoin. Brian concluded by highlighting about the Filecoin Orbit community program mission and benefits for inspiring the growth of diversified Blockchain hubs and Web3 communities with a borderless reach for a local and global community growth

Our appreciations goes to the Filecoin Foundation, Orbit community program Mangers for sponsoring these initiatives to run Orbit Community events locally furthering the future of the Web through educational community events amplifying the voice of IPFS and Filecoin in Web3.
