LETZ CYCLE, an event by HAL 3rd Stage RWA, Bangalore (O#RISEHAL)

Why do we need this event? To grow an awareness about the increasing garbage, waste management(segregation and composting), traffic congestion( Take up cycling) and introducing kids to the outdoors(Street games/cycling/ running) and also the adult residents to take up fitness for a healthy lifestyle and make the neighborhood more green and beautiful (vertical gardening will be demonstrated)

Timings: 7 am — 11 am

This is the first event of this sort which we are conducting for the residents in the society. We expect residents to go more eco friendly, take care of the surroundings, keep it clean and green(reduce the garbage produced), take up cycling or any means of outdoors to stay fit and healthy and adopt and spread a healthy lifestyle in the neighborhood and around.

Activities planned:

7 am — 7:30 am — Warm up session/ stretches/ Exercises

7:30 am — 8 am : Interacting with the crowd and briefing them about the cycling- precautions the agenda for the day etc. etc.

8 am — 9 am : Cycling starts in a well secured and pre-planned route of 3.1 km of loop.

9 am — 11 am : Various impromptu street games like slow cycling, kids dance story telling etc.

There will be stalls

  • Demos of garbage segregation by 2 bin 1 bag
  • Composting by smart gardening
  • Bio gas from kitchen waste by
  • Perma culture ( vertical gardening)

Ladies from the neighborhood will be getting the healthy home food for kids and parents. We have healthy refreshments for the kids after their cycling.

Everyone is allowed. No entry fees! Its a first edition. A fun and a social society together, more friendly and more aware about the surroundings. but the key and the fun component will be cycling in this.
