ARE WE ALLOWED TO JUDGE? YES WHY NOT, BUT JUDGE FAIRLY AND CAREFULLY

The Bible teaches that Christians should be careful when judging others. In Matthew 7:1–5, Jesus says, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” This means that we should not judge others harshly or unfairly, as we ourselves will be judged by the same standard.

However, this does not mean that Christians should never make judgments or hold others accountable. In John 7:24, Jesus says, “Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.” This means that we should make judgments based on what is right and just, rather than on superficial or personal criteria.

Additionally, in Galatians 6:1–2, the Apostle Paul instructs Christians to “restore” a fellow believer who has stumbled or fallen into sin. This implies that we have a responsibility to hold one another accountable and to help each other grow in faith and righteousness.

Overall, the Bible teaches that Christians should be careful and fair when judging others, always seeking to do so in a spirit of love and with a desire to help rather than condemn.
