
Overall, I have found that the Ghanaian experience is dictated by the band in which one falls in- bands that have peculiar characteristics as regards access to basic needs such as food and water, ability to rent/buy property, network, access to capital and ability to save. These factors have the ability to expose or shield you from appreciating the privilege you have or the harsh realities that your fellow Ghanaians might be facing.

In as much as I condemn them for telling a terrible single story about Africa, I also do not advocate that we sit in the comfort of our homes and point fingers at the western media for highlighting some of these issues just because it rubs us the wrong way.
