Milk is a complete and a balanced diet that is rich in a variety of nutrients. It is the presence of the different nutrients in the milk that make it the best food ingredient. Many even argue that the cow milk is not only rich in nutrients but is also rich in taste. Some of the consumers who try cow milk once never return back to other forms of milk. The reason for this is simple. The cow milk tastes so much better than the other forms. Further, it is often argued that the benefits of milk that are often discussed by the experts are in context to the fresh milk of the cow. So, the nutrients and the benefits that you acquire from the cow milk cannot be attained from any other variety of the milk.

By milk, we not only milk a glass of milk but also the foods that are made from the milk. These include curd or yoghurt, cheese, dahi, buttermilk, kadhi, ice cream and a variety of Indian sweet dishes. Consumption of either of these will provide you the same nutrients as the milk in its raw form. However, the proportion of the nutrients in milk is comparatively higher than the nutrients found in the other variants of the milk. The degree of the nutrients found in the milk product depends on the processing that it undergoes. More the degree of processing higher will be the loss of the nutrients.
