🍊 More people are seeking food relief than ever before, and with the Reserve Bank announcing yet another interest rate hike last week, we anticipate this need continuing to grow.

Ask Izzy, an Infoxchange directory that helps people search for social services, recorded over 229,000 searches in January. This is the third highest monthly number of searches on record, with a third of those searches related to food — the highest number ever recorded for food on Ask Izzy. What we’re seeing is that many people are seeking assistance for the first time, and many of them are employed individuals.

We firmly believe that everyone deserves access to basic need and urge all levels of government to take action. It’s imperative that we invest more in helping people access the services they require.
