A Psalm: In His Love…
I. Was. A. Slave. To. Sin.
But Your love came and broke the chains within
You. Knew. Me...
Intricately enough
That You carved through
and chiselled off the dead weight:
That built gates and locked me inside myself
That fattened my flesh
But drained me of my spiritual health
And then
I. Came. To. The. End. Of. Myself.
But you filled my cup with living water
You. Met. Me...
And now my thirst is over
My Author and Finisher
You reminded me that my story
Was written way before my conception
An inception:
Where I dreamt that I was a dream
That You dreamt
That you fashioned into reality
A vision:
Of me at Your Feet
In a white robe to represent my purity
A diamond encrusted crown to show me I was worth more than rubies
"This is your identity"
You said to me
And now my skin glows for the world to see
My innocence radiates like the dawn
Just like You promised me
A blameless being in Your Sight
In Your Love You give me right standing
In Your Love You make no mention
Of past sins
In Your Love I am convicted, sober-minded and broken down to confession
