Turkmen visa center in Beijing — window to Central Asia for Chinese tourists

Traveling to Central Asia for Chinese tourists become even more accessible since opening of Turkmenistan’s Silk Road visa service center in Beijing. The documents submission procedures are simplified and it has resulted in the reduction of the processing time, writes Kazakh-tv.

— I heard a lot about Turkmenistan and dreamed about visiting the country to see the beautiful nature, ancient cities and try traditional food. Recently, I read an online message about the opening of the visa center in Beijing and immediately came here, says Ruida.

In February of this year, on the sidelines of the first Turkmen-Chinese tourism forum in Beijing, the first agreement on the expansion of tourism business cooperation between the two countries was signed. Then Chinese tour operators visited a number of regions of Turkmenistan and highly appreciated the attractiveness of tourist routes.

The head of the consulting company Beijing Sungxiong Foreign Service You Ziangdong noted in an interview with the Kazakh TV, that Turkmenistan, being a unique country has everything necessary to become a popular travel destination.

According to his company’s forecasts, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Turkmenistan will increase by 20–30 percent next year due to the opening of the visa center.

— Tourism is a road map that allows to better understand the country and people, to develop friendly relations with a certain country. Therefore, we will effectively use the tourism potential in relations with Chinese partners, — said the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China Chinar Rustamova, noting the readiness of the Chinese side to strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperation with Turkmen colleagues.
