Day 4: The fetishization of the black female body

*Based on an actual magazine spread I have seen*

They celebrated the year by marking significant triumphs made by women

Each triumph accompanied by a glossy image of a woman caught in that moment of celebration

Most, fair skin, clothed in beautiful outfits

One image on the two-page spread catches the eye

Bare-chested with her dark chocolate breasts displayed in their fullest glory

Standing out in her exposure in stark contrast to her clothed counterparts

Her triumph being the only major one attributed to a black woman

Perhaps all the other feminists of colour were sleeping that year
