Judas

Again you!

You betrayed me again!

Yesterday was the third time

I keep count

of all the painful days dragging on wearily
of each teardrop falling involuntarily

You like to think because you’re a part of me

you can do as you please

so when people talk to me

inquiring so sincerely

‘how I’ve been’

I look away quickly…

to pull myself together…

so they don’t see that this steely will I show them all

is nothing more than worn-out leather

but yesterday you betrayed me

she placed her hands on my shoulders

stared into your depths

and asked me how I am…

and the pools formed again.
