Do you think this is similar to putting your problems in God’s hands versus the idea that God helps…

Well, I think we first have to come to the understanding of what it means to put our troubles in God’s hands. And this is just my understanding, I am by no means a theologian:

I can keep praying for peace within myself, around me too. But what is my action plan?

I can pray for good grades and leave it in God’s hands, if I choose not to study though, what happens?

My philosophy is to apply my anointed common sense to dealing with problems. I spent years praying for a miracle cure. If even Jesus didn’t have the cup passed over Him as He cried and prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, then it stands to reason that miracle cures are few and far between.

In conclusion, yes I think we need to be open with God about what we’re doing, and ask Him to bless it. The worst thing is we’d have made a mistake, then try out another route. We are flawed and He knows this.
