What About “Events” on Instagram
I designed a new section of Instagram dedicated to Events
Do you prefer using Instagram and you are tired of seeing that f with blue background on your phone? But you can’t get rid of that because events and invitations are what makes your weekends legit. What if Instagram could give you the opportunity to discover, participate and be updated on events you might be interested in…
Without revolutionizing Instagram’s pleasant interface, I thought about how a simple, quick and easy to use Events section could be implemented.
Let’s face it: the “link in the description” situation has become a little dull.
HOME
In the structure of the Home section the only difference consists in the presence of a new icon on the top right corner between IGTV and Direct Messages: Events, a calendar.
In this case, for example, the Succulent (it’s a rock band, not a plant shop) is going to play in Berlin over the weekend. By tapping on the calendar icon in the picture the users can easily learn more about the concert.
