Finished my first Firehose Project web application. While it was very much a guided tutorial, I learned about error messages, accessing a PostgreSQL database to delete some records, and what a Ruby on Rails migration is really doing. Why do this things stand out — because I had to get past them in order for my web application to succeed. I refreshed my HTML/CSS knowledge, learned about Ruby’s interaction with a SQL database, and how to phrase questions to StackOverflow and other forums. I think that it looks pretty darn good.
