Passion

What is your passion? what drives you? What are those things you sleep on and which wakes you up each morning? What do you dream of during the day?

How do you go about finding fulfillment in those areas? Do you work towards your passion each day or far from it?

The creative force of anything is the passion; it is also the driving force. It is what mobilizes army to battles. it keeps you up, on your toes.It keeps you going even when there are obstacles on your way; or when you are turned down. You go after it till you get it; you don’t quit half way through.

It can be liken to a woman about to birth a baby to life at full gestation and in labor, you can’t find her sleeping just for the simple reason that life is about to come forth through her. She paces up and down, restless unable to contain herself until she brings forth her baby.

That is how it is for someone with a burning passion or desire. The individual can hardly keep calm; there is an uncomfortable feeling of wanting to bring it to life.

The passion and purpose goes together, the more you know your purpose in life the more passionate you become. Why? because purpose creates passion.

Without purpose life is meaningless.

Until the product, vision comes to fruition, the individual knows no internal peace. The burning flame continues to scourge and plague, and there is constant struggles to achieve the set out goals and objectives.

That is why it is quite rare to see someone who claims to have passion for something or someone and does not pursue after it. Passion is the fire inside of you that cannot be quenched.

Claiming to have love for something or someone and not pursuing it with all the strength and energy in you is being deceptive. Just as the saying goes “pursuit is the proof of desire.” You chase after, till you get hold of the dream, product or person.

Two hindrances that might clog the wheel of passion are:

(1) Unbalanced Schedule: If you’re overworked you’ll lose your passion. You need to learn to balance life, work and play. mark out days in your calendar to rest and make out time every day to relax, stretch yourself, listen to music or just play games.

Fatigue makes cowards of all of us. Vince Lombardi

(2) Unengaged Truth: Knowing what to do is easy, doing what you know is scarce.

Apply what you know!

Having so much head knowledge and not applying it is foolishness. When you practice what you know you improve, you grow, gain momentum and advance. You gain confidence and skills in the process thereby becoming a better person.

“Knowledge is not power. Knowledge is only potential power. Action is power.”

Hobbies come and goes. Purpose does not.
