Prepare DIY syrup by combining 3 tablespoons of grated ginger and 1 ½ tablespoon of dried peppermint leaves to 4 cups of water to it. Put it in simmer when the liquid reaches the boiling point, let it boil until the liquids reduce to half the quantity. Now add a cup of honey to the mixture and stir it well. Bottle the syrup and consume one tablespoon of the syrup for every one hour, to get better results. This method would be the best of all other natural remedies for cold and flu.
