That’s right! Names are important; we think OSPN communicates our vision and mirrors our strategic direction. Let’s dive into the details below.
What is OSPN?
OSPN stands as a community dedicated to creating content for open source web3 projects as a public good. Our vision is to elevate community engagement through a decentralized creator economy, and bring more awareness to projects that are truly accelerating web3 space.
You might ask why the pivot?
The answer is simple. We started as a metaBD subDAO within BanklessDAO, aiming to redefine business development and strategic partnerships for protocols in web3. Our collaboration involved hosting DEMOs for various projects covering DEXs, gaming, lending Protocols, and DAO Tooling. Notable partners that we interviewed and engaged in 2023 are Tally, Rari Foundation, ENS, MetaMask, Nouns Builder, PoolTogether, WalletGuard, Spool, 3NUM, Hats Protocol, Mailchain, MetaFactory, ETH Limo, Silo Labs, Maple Finance, TimeSwap, Akash Network, Aavegotchi, and ZKX to name a few.
While the experience was fantastic, it prompted us to explore the full spectrum of what we can offer to protocols. This exploration led us to evolve from a BD subDAO to opening the way forward as a media DAO supporting open source projects, and introducing an additional layer for our community to contribute.
We also launched a flagship Twitter Space series, titled “Code is Law.” We created this series to discuss the importance of open source software, and how it will accelerate web3 by promoting open collaboration, while creating trustless systems, since the source code can be verified.

Recent Proposal
That’s not all! We have some great news: We presented a proposal to the Rari Foundation, and it was passed with 20.2k votes 🚀
This proposal outlines the launch of a hybrid roundtable podcast and Twitter space named “Beyond PFPs.” Leveraging Huddle01 for the video format and the OSPN Twitter for live community interaction. This approach aims to explore the diverse applications of Rarible’s open-source NFT protocol in an engaging multimedia format, highlighting real-world NFT use cases.
