Letter To The Millennials
Jonathan Taplin

As a Millennial born October 20, 1988, I don’t really think the age gap between politicians and me matter as much as how they think, what their ideology is, what party they are, etc. I will support Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party (or any other nominee that is picked like John McAfee, Darryl Perry, Derrick Michael Reid, Jack Robinson Junior, Joy Waymire, Marc Allan Feldman, Cecil Ince, Steve Kerbel, Austin Petersen, Rhett Smith). I supported Ron Paul and Rand Paul in the three most recent Republican nomination runs of theirs in 2008, 2012, and 2016. Lots of my fellow Millennials supported them too. We are a Libertarian generation. Austin Petersen is the only Millennial running for President due to him turning 35 and that being the minimum age to be elected President. He is one of the top three well known Libertarians along with John McAfee and Gary Johnson running. While I would love a Millennial President, I’m sticking with Gary Johnson, John McAfee, Cecil Ince, Steve Kerbel, and Darryl Perry as my top five out of the eleven.

That is the party and the fourteen candidates with the last three as late comers who don’t have enough time to gain momentum but are honorable for trying to get the nomination. They were too late to write an essay for LP News. The undercard essays were released in December 2015 and main essays were released in February 2016 to be fair to the underdogs. Gary Johnson, John McAfee, Austin Petersen, and Jack Robinson Junior were part of the February essays group and Marc Allan Feldman, Cecil Ince, Steve Kerbel, Darryl Perry, Derrick Michael Reid, Rhett Smith, and Joy Waymire were part of of the December essay group. It surprised me that Jack Robinson Junior made the cut for the main essays rather than undercard since there is such a gap between him and the other three big celebrity Libertarians. Lots of platforms for all readers to check out.
