On Being Buzzed
I got a buzzcut recently. To me, it’s agender; it’s one of the few cuts that a wide variety of people have had. It’s a military cut. Sure, only something like 7% of Marines, and like 27% of the Air Force is made of women, so it’s not exactly egalitarian; but it’s still a rule many must adhere to, and it makes them all the same. It has power without meaning, and it’s meant to make you uniform.
As all things should be: the same except when special and set apart.
