Introducing… otso!

We’re excited to announce that we are rebranding! As part of our rebranding strategy, we’ve changed our name from cognitiveCX to otso.

Since our launch, it has become clear that the cognitiveCX branding was too restrictive. While our platform was initially developed to deliver insights relating to customer experience (CX), it has grown into something much more powerful.

In addition to continuing to provide value to CX teams, the features and functionality that we have rolled out since launch have allowed a far broader range of use cases outside CX, including media monitoring, compliance tracking, PR and brand health, risk management, sales and marketing intelligence, and more.

Why otso?

Firstly, we wanted a name that was simple, catchy and unique. We’re the first to admit that cognitiveCX was a bit of a mouthful.

We were then inspired by Finnish mythology, in which the name Otso refers to the King of the Forest, or the collective spirit of bears in the forest. This resonated with us, as our platform delivers insights at both the macro and micro levels, or in other words, allows you to see both the forest and the trees.

Otso is also the name of an icebreaker vessel, a ship designed to break apart icebergs and navigate through iceberg-infested waters. We’ve previously used the term ‘databerg’ to refer to visible and non-visible data types within an organisation. Our platform enables organisations to break apart their ‘databergs’ and start to bring their dark data to the surface for exploration.

What’s new?

Our rebrand comes at a time when the pace of development on our platform is higher than ever, and coincides with the launch of our new Natural Language Processing (NLP) engine.

Using the latest advances in artificial intelligence and natural language technologies, our new NLP engine delivers market leading performance, allowing you to understand what your customers are really saying and how they really feel, using the unique language and terms applicable to your individual organisation. Ultimately, this translates into insights and metrics you can actually trust.
