1. Chorro de Quevedo.
This is where the city of Bogotá was founded on August 6, 1538. It is a popular meeting place since it is surrounded by a mix of music bars, good food, and cafes. They often host free activities, such as Friday night Circus or shows by “storytellers” who perform Stand-Up on everyday situations and Bogotán lifestyle. It is a great place to get to know the city and learn about its history, its graffiti and the youthful culture that surrounds it. Here is their Facebook page if you want to know more!
2. Museo de Botero.
This museum holds one of the largest collections of works by Fernando Botero open to the public for free. It includes different styles of art from the renowned painter, as well as a work from a collection of diverse artists such as Picasso, Dalí, Rembrant, Monet and other historical painters. 3. Cine Tonalá.
It is a small cinema with Mexican origin that is located right next to the national park. They offer a selection of independent films but also have excellent coffee, a diverse menu, incredible cocktails and, for us, one of the best desserts in the city, La torta de almohabana. 4. Templo del té.
Calling all tea-lovers! This is a relaxing and welcoming space with a menu of more than 86 types of high quality tea from different parts of the world. If you go after 6 in the afternoon you may find someone reading tarot cards and waiting to tell you your future. Click Here!
5. Merlín.
An incredible space with a collection of more than 200,000 used books, distributed in a three-story house. It is an absolutely magical place for any book lover. You can find it in the city’s “ book zone.” Goodluck leaving without buying a whole new library. Most of the books are in Spanish, but if you know what your looking for, you just need a little bit of patience.

6. Calico Cat.
If you’re looking for good company, this is the place. You can order a good coffee, and bring a good book to sit along side more than 20 adorable felines. If you fall in love with one of them, you also have the opportunity to adopt them! Although I wouldn’t recommend that to a foreign traveler. Click Here!

1. Chorro de quevedo
Es el lugar donde se fundó la ciudad de Bogotá el 6 de Agosto de 1538, es conocido popularmente como un lugar de encuentro de jóvenes donde hay diversos bares de música y lugares para comer. Existen diversas actividades gratuitas que se desarrollan allí, como circo los viernes a la noche o “cuenteros” que realizan un Stand Up sobre situaciones cotidianas de los habitantes de la ciudad. Es sin duda un lugar clave para conocer en la ciudad y aprender de su historia, sus grafitis y la cultura juvenil que lo rodea.
2. Museo de Botero.
Es quizás la colección de obras de Fernando Botero más grande abierta al público de manera gratuita. No sólo ofrece al público distintos estilos de arte del reconocido pintor sino también, una colección de diversos artistas como Picasso, Dalí, Rembrant, Monet entre otros pintores históricos. Es sin duda una obligación para los amantes del arte.
3. Cine Tonalá.
Es un cinema de origen mexicano que se encuentra justo al lado del parque nacional y en el cual no sólo puedes observar diversas películas de cine independiente sino también tomar un excelente café, diversos platos de comida, increíbles cocteles y, para nosotros, el mejor postre de la ciudad, La torta de almohabana.
4. Templo del Té
Para los amantes del té es un lugar imperdible. Es un espacio relajante y acogedor donde tienen una carta de más de 86 tipos de té de diversas partes del mundo, de muy alta calidad. Si vas después de las 6 de la tarde puede que encuentres a una persona que lee el tarot y está dispuesta a contarte tu futuro.
5. Merlín.
Un espacio increíble con una colección de más de 200.000 libros distribuidos en una casa de tres pisos. Es un lugar absolutamente mágico escondido en el centro de la ciudad, justamente en “la zona de los libros.” No te vayas de ahí sin llevarte un buen libro.
6. Calico Cat
Es un lugar donde los protagonistas no son los seres humanos sino los gatos. Puedes ir pedir un buen café, quedarte leyendo un libro junto con los más de 20 gatos que viven en el lugar y siempre están dispuestos a dejarse consentir. Si te enamoras de alguno, también tienes la oportunidad de adoptarlos!
Son muchos los lugares mágicos que posee esta ciudad y seguro podrás encontrar muchos más si sigues leyendo sobre Bogotá. Para nosotros estos seis lugares resultan imperdibles de conocer si vienes por poco tiempo y quieres encontrar espacios agradables interesantes y especiales.
