Banstead Downs Tennis Club

1.Who are you?
Banstead Downs Tennis Club.

2. What do you do?
We are a Tennis Club. We have 6 outdoor courts, 4 with floodlights. We also have a mini tennis court available for use of the youngest members. We offer tennis membership from the Age of 3 upwards.​

3. What courses do you offer children?
We have coaching courses for the Autumn Term, these are available to members only. The coach also runs fun sessions during half term and school holiday which are open to anyone between the ages of 4 and 14. Please call us on 01737 359630 for more details.

4. What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday

Times: Anytime up to 10pm on any free court.
Matches, coaching and club sessions take priority.
Saturday
Times: Between noon and 1.30pm and any time after 5.30pm.
Matches take priority. Courts also free up to noon when there is no coaching.
Sunday
Times: Any time up to 1.30pm and any time after 5.30pm.
Matches, coaching and club sessions take priority.
Courts 3 & 4 available for use by parents & children on 1st Sunday of each month from 4.30–6.30 pm April — Sept., 3.00 pm onwards October — March .

Children under the age of 10 will need to be supervised by a parent. Parents who wish to play tennis with their children on the main courts need to be paying members of the Club. Parents who only wish to play with their children on the Mini-tennis court may do so by becoming a Social member.

5. How does your business benefit / enhance children’s lives and wellbeing?
Tennis provides fun and exercise for children. It teaches them ball skills and social skills of working together in a group. The children who attend the coaching learn how to play tennis and improve their skills as well are participating in group activities as a member of a club.
