Who are #OUTLIERS?
There are many definitions of ‘outliers’, but ours are: those who are misfits of the current system, those who are on the road less travelled, and those who are at the extreme outer edge of what is statistically plausible…
#OUTLIERS was started as a special interest group of deep tech on Slack by several students from MIT and Harvard in 2016. They discussed research papers and venture investments in a decentralized fashion. With these research foundations, some decided to drop out from schools and launch this venture accelerator with the long-term vision of turning as many science fiction into scientific facts as possible.
Today, we define ourselves as a community-driven and research-oriented venture accelerator for collective intelligence and decentralized technology. We help vision-driven startups like Quantstamp, Harmony, Kambria, XYO Network, Contents Protocol, IdeaFlow, Unum ID, Poseidon Network to propel their product growth, user adoption, and social impact.
On 10/30, we are excited to host the Outliers Hashed in San Francisco as the final event of our batch 1. This conference features FAILCON where five esteemed entrepreneurs will share some of their failures and lessons learned, and nine startups will pitch and compete for the #OUTLIERS Growth, Adoption, and Impact Awards. Judges include 300 prominent investors, enterprise adopters, and media outlets who will be using the Crypto Voting System and Blockchain Certificate built specifically for this event.
