13 Cards Rummy is a popular card game played with a standard deck of 52 cards. The objective of the game is to arrange your cards into sets and sequences and be the first to declare your hand.

Shuffle the deck of cards and deal 13 cards to each player. One random card is selected and placed face-up to indicate the Joker for that game. All cards of the same rank in different suits become the Jokers for that game.A set is a group of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits, and a sequence is a group of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit.

In 13 Cards Rummy, each card has a point value. Numbered cards carry points equal to their face value (e.g., 3 of Hearts = 3 points), face cards (J, Q, K) carry 10 points each, and Aces carry 10 points. The objective is to have the lowest possible score. If you successfully declare, your opponents’ scores are calculated based on the points in their hands.

If a player declares and their hand is not valid, it’s called a “wrong declaration,” and they receive penalty points. Play continues until one player reaches the pre-determined point limit, and that player is declared the winner. One should familiarize themselfes with the specific rules and variations before playing. For more information visit Khelplay Rummy.
