History tells us what may happen next with Brexit & Trump

I am not European or American or Russian. I’m currently a student of history and how Tobias deals with it in this article is appalling. He has cherry picked on history and the present to suit his already formed opinion which is not much different than what the mainstream media is trying to convince you with their “news”. No wonder he will compare Trump and Putin to Hitler if he can put the fall of the Roman Empire and the World Wars on the same list. It is completely understandable that one might be repelled by these two personalities but to compare them with Hitler is historical illiteracy or blind bias. It is disrespecting the sufferings of the people under Hitler by minimising those for his convenience. And certainly he haven’t heard much of Putin speaking. He is much more rational and logical than most western leaders . In public speeches there is no leader who does not heavily depend on rhetoric, not only Putin or Trump. It’s really funny how he anticipates comments like this one near the end of his article and actually goes on to write it. I think it shows that he himself knows deep down what he is doing is questionable.

What led to massive wars and probably will again in the future is extreme ideologies. For example, the idea that Trump is comparable to Hitler and the idea that Trump is a Messiah while all Muslims are dangerous. What is sadly lacking in today’s politics and most prominently in this article which looks more like propaganda, is a balanced view. Throughout history people have found it incredibly difficult to follow the middle path and here is another glaring example.
