We need creativity in the workplace, in the house relaxing, or in the library studying and classical music can help. Research shows that if we listen to classical music while we are multitasking, relaxing and trying to be make deadlines, we will be more inspired and creative with our work.

1-While multitasking

Listen to classical music whenever you multitask. According to BBC classic music magazine, children can be inspired by classical music while they are multitasking. Classical music helps the brain to focus on multiple things at once which helps us to perform our tasks more efficiently. Multitasking is an important skill.

This skill is essential to every aspect of our lives. We need it while we are studying, working, or just concentrating our hobbies. Focus and creativity are correlated, if we focus more, we get more creative. When we have to finish more than one thing in a limited time, we need to multitask, and listening classical music can help the coordination of our left and right brain. If we enhance focus with classical music while we multitask, the work we produce will be produced more creatively.

2- While relaxing

You may think why do we need creativity while we are relaxing? Relaxation and taking breaks are proven to be very important for our brain functions. If we dream while we are relaxing, it increases the quality of our rest. Dreaming is all about creativity. According to Psychology Today magazine, we dream more when we listen classical music.

3- While deadlines are very close

If deadlines are very close, we might get very stressed. Some special slow classical music pieces make our brain function work on a simpler way. Just like relaxing, the brain needs to be calm on during stressful times. This would be very effective for us, because it is very hard to focus on the task at hand than focus on the stress.

Last year, The Piano Guys, a YouTube channel quartet music band, did this experiment. It was very interesting, classical music decreases the level of stress.

Listen classical music after you start a work.

Little bit stress is a good thing because it keeps us responsible on some points. That is why we can start without classical music. If we listen classical music after we warmed up with the task, this will be even more effective.

Adjust it for yourself.

I gave you the tips but at the end of the day every individual is unique so do their needs and wants. Sometimes we need an utter silence and this can be the best ambience. You can start experimenting your own classical music listening patterns. Start with while you are multitasking, relaxing and when the deadlines are very close.
