Battlefield 2042 was originally scheduled to launch in October, and while beta plans weren’t announced, trusted leaker Tom Henderson had claimed that the games’ beta would take place next week. However, the release date for Battlefield 2042 was pushed back to November, and now it looks like EA’s plans for its beta have changed as well. While nothing official has been announced, leaker Tom Henderson has provided some new dates for early access players and the open beta.

According to information from Hendersons, the new beta dates for Battlefield 2042 will be October 6 for Early Access and October 8 for Open Beta. Fans should always take unofficial information like this with a grain of salt, although it’s worth noting that Henderson has got the money right with his Battlefield 2042 leaks. Not only did Henderson leak many of the in-game details about the game, but he was also aware of the release date delay before it was announced. Not only did Henderson accurately leak the delay to the Battlefield 2042 release date, but he was right about when the new date would be. Henderson said that he believed the new Battlefield 2042 release date would be November, and that turned out to be true, and the game is now expected to launch on November 19.

If Henderson is correct about the new beta dates for Battlefield 2042, then one has to imagine that an official announcement will arrive sooner rather than later. Hopefully the dates also include information on what fans can expect from the Battlefield 2042 beta in terms of maps and game modes, but that remains to be seen. As it stands, EA and DICE have been largely quiet about Battlefield 2042 in recent weeks, so fans are increasingly eager for more information.

Battlefield 2042 will be a multiplayer-only experience where players will have large-scale battles on current and next-gen platforms, although the next-gen version of the game will have much higher player counts. The level of destructibility on the Battlefield 2042 maps has been greatly increased, with natural disasters added to the mix for good measure. Whether or not it all comes together in a satisfying way remains to be seen, but fans will have a much better idea when they actually get their hands on the game, whenever that is.
