Find the perfect tools to help your digital transformation.

A business is built on a few fundamental pillars such as the team, customers, products, systems and tools. While all of these are imporant, during times of rapid digital transformation like this, identifiying the right tools takes special importance. It requires skill (and usually a lot of time).

Here’s what a startup fact-sheet looks like. — www.startupsoflondon.com

Our Why

Our core belief is that startups really are the change engines of the world today.

Founder Update — 03/10/19

Hey All,
I wanted to personally give an update about what’s going on behind the scenes about Cultureboom (and Startups of London).

Our belief that culture is a key component of building a startup is strong as ever. However, our experience and conversations with startups has proven that, for the year 2019 at least, culture is not an immediate pain point, “now”, but a always a regret point in the future. Once startups have grown enough, they begin realising the true value of deliberately focusing on culture and that number seems to be 150+ in team size. …

How will we view work, life and the economy differently when there are more entrepreneurs than employees?

What happens when there are more entrepreneurs than employees in society?

Even if you are an employee, think like a business.

A paradigm shaping book for me was Reid Hoffman’s Startup of You. It is not a new book by any means, but I keep referring it as a foundational block to those thinking about careers and success in the new world.

The ratio of entrepreneurs to employees has been on the rise in the last 50 years, with rapid acceleration in the last 10. …

This is a legitimate question. Having been in a consultant and mentor position for startups, I might not be the most objective person to talk about this. On the other hand, I am a founder who had his fair share of achievements and failures. Promise: I will do my best to offer a balanced perspective while answering this question.

1. The Founder Problem

Becoming an entrepreneur is risky… No, wait. Scratch that. I don’t believe that to be the case. I really don’t think being an entrepreneur is riskier than working at a job. It is just a different kind of risk. Anyway, back to topic; we can at least say that entrepreneurship is considered riskier. From the average point of view, it has strong associations with going against the grain, being rebellious, believing that you are right when people are telling you that you are wrong. …

Most important things I learned are about failure, resources, markets and deals.

10 March 2020 Update: Now my focus is on startupsoflondon.com We are telling the stories of London’s startups and entrepreneurs.

4 Lessons I Learned in 4 Years as an Entrepreneur

In casual conversations with colleagues I like to joke around and say that I’d be a gunslinger if I lived in the Wild West — or a hunter in the Early Ages… I see being an entrepreneur today very much in the same light.

While working in a corporation is more like trying to figure out a human-made puzzle, being an entrepreneur is more like a primal fight with the forces of nature.

It is a challenge that you have to respect, commit, focus, work and build mastery on. …

Understand the power fueling your creations.

Almost all of our habits and daily behaviours come down to how our brains work. Each brain is unique in so many complex ways. A better understanding of that black box gives us more control over how we feel, think and act.

These days, I am reading two books in parallel. First one is Robert Sapolsky’s book Behave. …
