Great stories never grow old! Just because we get older doesn’t mean the life lessons we learn from children’s books are less important. Here today with five classic children’s book recommendations.

Winnie-the-Pooh — A.A.Milne

Buy the book.

First up is one of my personal childhood favorites is Winnie the Pooh by A. A. Milne. I love this. Yes, I know that A. A. Milne didn’t necessarily love his Winnie the Pooh stories, but the fact that the people involved in this didn’t appreciate how wonderful they were.

These are just beautiful magical children’s stories for anyone who hasn’t read Winnie the Pooh. It sort of it isn’t one long narrative. It’s little vignettes, and the characters are just lovely. The stories themselves are so whimsical and sweet. If you’re only familiar with Disney’s Winnie-the-Pooh, then definitely give this a try. I love Disney’s adaptation of Winnie the Pooh. The movies, the television series, especially the 90s TV series, are entirely fantastic. However, the books are magic, and they should be read.

The Secret Garden — Frances Hodgson Burnett
