Small nitpick: sociologically, “emotional labor” refers to <a href=”https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotional_labor”>work specifically performed on the job</a>. The term you’re looking for is <a href=”https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotion_work”>emotion work</a>. This is a really common mistake but I think the distinction is worth trying to preserve!
