I kinda laughed when I saw the bit about “prepare to have a lot of downtime and a lot of re-takes”. So true. If you do the math, a 120 minute film with even a really short shooting schedule of 20 working days will produce a grand total of six minutes of finished movie per day.

I suppose they might be a little more productive with the sort of location shoots that call for a lot of extras, because those shoots are really expensive, but overall it’s still illustrative.
