When Work Is Like A Video Game

I’m not following how the “Forward Dispatch” is “less fine” for work purposes. Indicating to drivers that there should be more work available (with no waiting) seems to be a pretty useful feature to me.

It’s useful for passengers, who can get an estimate on when a driver will be available, and useful for drivers so they know that, for instance, maybe they should drop off the current passenger at the curb (maybe with flashers going) instead of parking.

On the overall “gamification” thing… I think it’s pretty silly, but I don’t see how it’s some sort of insidious practice designed to enslave us all.
