When There Isn’t Enough Tax Revenue to Cover Basic Public Services

Well, not having libraries would suck, and I question short-changing basic public safety, but I’m pretty sure not having elections is kinda not allowed. I could see a state takeover of the county government if they want to refuse to provide mandatory functions like that.

I will say that at least they ARE making these choices (no matter how foolhardy), vs. the Federal level, where the costs of tax cuts can be blissfully ignored because of the fed’s ability to borrow/print money.
