Who likes to memorize 100 passwords? Nobody! Remembering so many passwords take so much work and time. It would be so much easier if we had something that could keep all our passwords safe and secure. They also provide many ways to access your passwords and use them in a more efficient way.
According to Engadget, many people often reuse passwords because it is simpler to remember a few over dozens. This may be easy but it makes a person much more vulnerable. A person’s info on one site may be breached but because it was used for more than one account, it puts all of them at risk. I think it is essential to have a password manager as it allows someone to create very complex and strong passwords over simple easy to remember ones because there is no need to memorize it. All that is needed is one password to unlock them all.
I have decided to test out one password manager to see how beneficial it actually is. From experience Dashlane is a very useful application. Not only does it store passwords, it also generates strong passwords, sends breach alerts and constant monitoring of a person’s accounts. It is accessible on all platforms including IOS, Mac, Pc, and Android. I found the breach alerts to be very helpful as it allows a user to know when an account is breached and allows them to take proper measures. The ability to sync all devices comes in handy because the passwords are accessible from anywhere through the cloud. Because it is all stored in the cloud, there is no need to be tied to one device. If we compared this to writing down passwords or memorizing, it beats it by a landslide.
