For permanent, I mean live across developers, machines or even IDE etc, i.e.

I know what permanent means in that case, I asked “why”. What I’m trying to say is that it makes your code harder to read and follow if you are stopping every other line to shout what you are doing. IDE debuggers are so good these days that inline logging is just noise IMO.
But, hey! each to their own :)
