Ahan: Driving Sustainability and Financial Inclusion for Smallholder Farmers in Non-perishable Agricultural Commodities

Ahan, derived from Sanskrit, signifies the ‘First Ray Of Light’ that emerges with the sunrise.

The sun’s rays, as shown in the logo, empower life to flourish on Earth.

#Ahan as explained to a 10 year old:

Imagine you have some special coins called stablecoins. These coins are like magic coins because they always stay the same value, like having 10 candies that will always be worth 10 candies. Now, there’s something called Ahan, which is like a special place where you can use these magic coins to do something cool.

So, you take your magic coins and give them to Ahan. Instead of just keeping your coins there doing nothing, Ahan uses them to buy things from farmers, like spices. It’s like you giving your magic coins to Ahan, and Ahan uses them to get a bunch of delicious spices from farmers.

Now, these spices are stored in a big storage place called a warehouse. It’s like a giant pantry where they keep all the spices safe and sound. Ahan doesn’t just keep them there forever, though. They wait for a special time when the prices of these spices go up, like how sometimes the price of your favorite toy might go up.

When the prices are higher, Ahan sells the spices and gets even more magic coins than they started with! And guess what? Ahan is really kind — they share 40% of these extra coins with you! It’s like getting a bunch of extra candies because the price of your favorite candy went up, and you had some special magic candies in the first place.

But that’s not all! Ahan is also very thoughtful about the farmers who grew the spices. They give 10% of the profits back to the farmers, so they can keep growing yummy things for everyone. And to make sure everything stays safe and there’s always some magic left, Ahan puts 50% of the profits into a special savings place called reserves.

So, in simple terms, Ahan is like a place where you can use your magic coins to buy things, store them safely until they become more valuable, and then get even more magic coins back with extra goodies! Plus, they help the farmers and save some magic coins for the future too!
