Good for you! As a former peace corps volunteer and veteran of other volunteering assignments in Asia I can tell you it will be the most difficult, most painful and most absolutely wonderful experience of your life that will change you for the better for ever.

Don’t be afraid. Don’t be afraid to ask random strangers for help, for more times then not they will drop their lives to help you. The world is a loving and welcoming place if you allow it to be. Be vulnerable with your heart and spirit, but not your body. Keep your “street-smart spidey-sense” wide awake and trust it.

I will warn you; this kind of experience is very addictive and once begun is very hard to stop. I never have been able to, and never regretted it.
