Photo Studio

Sometime in June this year my husband and I had to get our Marriage registered with the government as it was required for some other purpose.

We had to submit a set of photographs to the sub-registrar for this and they required two set of couple photographs ,one set taken on the day of the marriage and one set taken recently. Since we did not have a photograph in a formal setting in the recent past we had to go to the studio to get one taken.

We also took our daughter with us and she made it one memorable evening.

The photo studios in Jeevan Bheema Nagar are not really great and the whizz one we went was particularly bad.

Dhatri though managed to get her picture taken holding my wallet (that was the only bright thing we had which could hold her attention for sometime).

I was happy that she did not miss out one ritual all of us kids seem to have gone through when we were babies.

I have a photograph taken in Vikas photo studio (I remember it as a photo studio with the winding green staircase) in a pink frock on a cane chair.

Advi also has one holding a basketball ,probably 2 years old in a photo studio in Gulbarga.

My sis and I have one together and till date its my favourite picture of the both of us.

Really happy that she did not miss out on this ritual, and we will have one picture to show her, though i wish it was in a better studio.

Also it was a rainy evening that day and Dhatri also took her first auto ride incidentally to the studio.
