Arnprior, ON
Made the 5+ hr ride to the arbitrarily chosen Arnprior, ON. A sparklingly attractive town.

From the very nice looking Quality Inn a bit outside of town I was “overflowed” to the Arnprior Motor Inn.

The owner directed me to Steve & Denni’s Restaurant for dinner. Overshooting my destination I found myself in a partially residential area with surprisingly grand old buildings. Not sure what’s up there. Asking a man for directions to the diner, he was vague:
“I’ve been there long time ago with my brother. It’s somewhere on the main drag. I’m not sure. I just come here for AA.”
Not knowing the appropriate response I wished him “good luck with that”, and found the diner.

The waitress was a diner genre original. I got along with her splendidly.

“What would you like?”
“I’d love some wine.”
“We have only one kind: Bodayjabble or something. I daknow how to pronounce it. Comes in red or white.”
“Ah, the red then, please.”
Often places like this have good pork chops. Not this one. I could easily have had them packaged to go for resoling my shoes further down the road if needed.
Sitting here in my motel room, I must concede, though: The cinder blocks in the room are well stacked! I’m just noticing this, and want to give credit!

Good night, all! Was a good day and ended well.
