By the pier
enveloped in darkness
on the soft grass
without care for the world’s view
nor desire to know where we were
we listen to the sound of the universe
blinded by the sadness of the waking world
confined in our quiet place
by the pier under the broken light
i don’t see it but i feel it
we stood up
held on come the world’s end
dawning upon us
As all we had was each other
the rain on our skin felt warmer
as seconds i spent in your embrace
rain clouds paint the sky
the winds sweep the waters
its anger blows us into nothing,
and left of us is the silk dress you wore
and a piece of my jacket that
you got me.
i miss you…
