It feels a little bit reductionist, for lack of a better word. The “just get ‘er done” approach isn’t … fun :).

I like OOP stuff as much for the art as I do for how it helps get the job done. Of course, everyone’s personal joy is personal. If getting the job done drives someone’s feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction, that’s great.

When I’m able to model something well and create connections and code that pass the three month test you talk about (which I completely agree is real) — I feel very happy indeed :).
