I was just hit with a blast of nostalgia. We used to play a similar game with my daughter when she was small. It was called “There’s a lump in my bed!” She would hide under the covers and we’d have to complain about the lumpiness of the bed, then start to explore the lump, only to discover that the lump had a foot and hair and giggled when it was tickled.

Next month, she’s leaving for college on the other side of the country. I think I might have to force her to play the lump game before she goes.
