Three Steps to a Better You
“The greatest challenge in life is discovering who you are. The second greatest is being happy with what you find.”
Most people seem to think the greatest thing in life is finding their soulmate, or getting a new promotion at work. Both are great advances in life, but being unhappy with yourself during those great moments in your life can make you think entirely different. I have set three goals for myself that I want to share with everyone else.
a. There is nothing hotter than a confident, strong, independent woman. Someone who has self-respect, and owns it. So don’t be the needy girl whose entire life revolves around whatever guy she is into too. Don’t be the girl who drops all the people in her life because “the love of your life” told you too. Always pick family over anyone or anything. They are the only ones who will be there for you when the guy,who you thought was your soul mate, disappears for the girl who showed him more on the first date. No matter how you look, what you do, or what your future holds focus on your strengths, and continue to be kind to yourself. if you aren’t being good to your self, then no one else will. Proverbs 19:8 “whoever gets sense loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will discover good.
Always being Positive
a. Being positive isn’t about ignoring life’s unpleasant situations, it’s about finding the positivity in that situation. Instead of thinking of the worse, you think the best. Positivity starts with yourself. This may sound weird, or wild, but self-talk is very important in a positive life. Self-talk is the endless stream of unspoken thoughts in your head. They can be negative and positive. Some of the self-talk can come from scenarios that you’ve made up in your mind through lack of information. Always think positive, make it a lifestyle. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Never give up
a. I’m sure at some point in your life you have probably thought about giving up on something. Personal Deadlines aren’t met, expectations gone, and disappointments start to slowly add up. The devil’s hope is that you ultimately quit or fail. Don’t give up when the field the Lord has assigned you to is hard and the harvest does not look promising. Success is much greater when you work hard for it. Whether is be a homework assignment, affording something you’ve been saving for, or finding the perfect career for you. Never, ever give up. 2 Chronicles 15:7 “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
“Every day is a second chance.”
