We B-Rolling!

This week, we decided to get our creative juices flowing and shot some B-Roll and images for our documentary. We tried to choose generic shots that either literally or metaphorically linked to the particular issues we’re each covering in each of our chapters.

Some of the B-Roll was shot on campus and the rest was shot at SeaPoint Promenade.

We also had another meeting with the Project Manager of Red Wings, Kwenza Mncwango, to set up our final filming schedule. We also discussed a collaboration with the VARSITY newspaper for its 10th edition which comes out on the 13th of September.

The plan is to dedicate a portion of the newspaper to the Red Wings Project and run a pad drive during the week that the paper comes out. This will provide us with additional footage for the documentary whilst fulfilling the promise we’d made to volunteer/ assist the cause. It also helps that three of our four members are a part of the VARSITY newspaper collective.

The rest of this week is all about PRESENTATIONS! We’re putting in a ton of elbow grease to put on a good ‘show’ and get some necessary feedback on our progress thus far.
